Boyfriend Expense Tracker is built from the ground up as a private, offline-first application. We believe your relationship history and spending habits are personal and should remain under your absolute control. We do not sell or lease your data, and we do not maintain central servers to store your personal entries.
All expense records, budget limits, relationship milestones, apology tallies, and wishlist items are saved strictly locally on your physical device using Hive database storage. Since we do not maintain or connect to any cloud databases or remote servers for personal expense logs, your entries are never transmitted or shared with third parties.
While your financial logs stay strictly offline, the app transmits certain technical and analytical data to Google Firebase Analytics and our advertising networks. To ensure data safety:
• Encryption in Transit: All technical metadata, app event logs (e.g., custom tags for ad gates and sharing), and device identifiers (such as AAID, IDFA, and Firebase FID) are transmitted using secure, industry-standard HTTPS encryption.
• Strict Separation: The analytical logs are strictly separated and are never linked, correlated, or combined with your local expense details, names, or notes. We do not transmit any in-app expense texts or numeric values.
• Opt-Out Respect: Our analytics and advertising components respect device-level opt-out settings. If you toggle off personalized ads or limit ad tracking in your OS settings, the SDKs automatically stop tracking or serving targeted advertisements.
Because your expense data is stored offline on your device, you are in complete control of it. You can instantly and permanently erase all data at any time by going to the Settings screen in the app and selecting "Clear All Data", or by uninstalling the application from your device settings. Once deleted locally, the data is gone forever and cannot be recovered by us. To request deletion of Firebase installation IDs, you can reset your device's advertising identifiers or reinstall the app.
Our application is designed for general audiences and relationship tracking. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policies:
• No PII Collection: The app does not collect personal names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information from users, including children under 13.
• Ad Filtering: All advertisements displayed inside the app are served via Google AdMob and configured with strict content filters to block adult or sensitive categories, ensuring they remain family-friendly.
• No Explicit Content: The app uses lighthearted, non-explicit relationship memes and metrics suitable for general audiences.
We store local Hive databases within the app's private, sandboxed sandbox directory. Operating systems prevent other apps on your device from accessing this database. We recommend securing your device with a PIN, password, or biometrics to prevent unauthorized physical access to your records.
